DC/Potomac

Welcome to the DC/Potomac region

Washington, DC is one the best cities in the world for whitewater paddling. The Potomac River is deep, warm, runs year-round, and offers an amazing spectrum of paddling opportunities: Gentle Class I to extreme Class IV. Playspots of all sizes. Technical slalom courses. Beautiful river runs. The local tributaries offer short but intense creeking. And all with quick, easy access, and a thriving, friendly community of boaters.

I'm the DC regional ambassador, and I'll be working to build out this region of WorldKayak.com. Want to help? Start your blog, or edit the wiki. Or contact me with questions or concerns.
