Central Oregon, USA

Welcome to the Central Oregon Region, USA

Central Oregon has an abundance of water. Each of the many rivers has its own personality and can cater to a wide range of paddling abilities. One nice aspect to boating in Central Oregon is that you can paddle year-round. In fact, many locals believe winter to be “kayak season”. There are a few massive play-spots that can be found within an hour of Bend. Creeking in Oregon has become a norm alongside river running and playboating. Many of our forested creeks provide a high level of challenge as well as scenery that is world class. Furthermore, for the flood-lusters of the world, our rivers tend to be too small for the amount of water they receive, which is a nice recipe to get that big-water feel. Regardless of how you “roll” Central Oregon can provide you with amazing paddling.

    Getting to know Trevor Clark

Jun 12 09 - Over the course of my life as a kayaker there have been a few notable photographers that have provided the imagery for our sport. Jock Bradley and Paul Villecourt are the two that stand out in my mind. Last year at the Reno River Festival I was introduced to Trevor Clark. He was kind enough to shoot one of our World Kayak hometown throwdowns. Needles to say I was impressed with the images he captured. Over the course of last season the quality of the images that Trevor continued to generate did not disappoint. Not only is Trevor an extremely accomplished photographer but he is an extremely good boater as well.
